The 2023 Holiday Gift Guide was researched, designed, and developed by the class of 2024 Learning Design and Technology Graduate students. We researched and identified the hottest trends in technology and learning in 2023. The theme for the gift guide was Artificial Intelligence, and we called it the “Holid-AI Gift Guide.”  I was part of the Standards and Distribution team, which meant my team was responsible for the overall design of the book as well as the social media posts at time of distribution. 

Sugar Creek Elementary School in Fort Mill, SC needed an efficient and consistent way to train their parent volunteers. Parents were eager to help but often missed the in-person volunteer training.  By creating an online course with assessment, the volunteers can now complete the training on their own time before arriving at the school to volunteer. 

Winthrop University offers its instructional staff many ways to support its students; however, with so many tools and services to choose from, the staff needed help locating and learning all of the services. Our team proposed an interactive job aid that lists the programs, tools, and software available; when to use them; and links to tutorials and training videos. On this site, you can see all the tools we offer.  I was personally responsible for creating the interactive flipbook.

Learning Management Systems (LMS) have become a mainstream tool for many schools and corporations. Organizations use an LMS to deliver online courses for their clients or employees or to teach in a virtual classroom setting. This presentation is the result of the research and analysis our team completed to assess the needs of the Fort Mill School district and includes our recommendation for the LMS that fits their needs.

Kindergarten teachers at my school wanted an easy and concise way to let the parents of rising kindergarteners know what skills their child needs to master before starting school. This brochure was distributed at kindergarten registration.
